FAQ

WHAT TYPES OF CASES DO YOU TAKE?

We have extensive experience in personal injury cases, ranging from motor vehicle accidents to slip and fall accidents to wrongful death.  We also are experienced in helping families with dissolution of marriage/divorce cases, modification of child support/parenting plans, paternity actions and adoption proceedings.  Explore our website for more information.

I ALREADY HAVE A LAWYER FOR PERSONAL AND/OR BUSINESS CONCERNS. WHY DO I NEED A PERSONAL INJURY LAWYER AFTER AN ACCIDENT?

Although you may already have a lawyer, personal injury attorneys possess a specialized knowledge and skill set to navigate the intricacies of cases involving motor vehicles accidents and similar situations.

There are so many issues that arise in an accident and injury case that those who do not have experience in such cases simply will not know how to handle them. We remove the stress of trying to handle a case by yourself so that you can focus on healing from your injuries.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR PERSONAL INJURY CASES?

We work on a contingency fee basis, which means that if we do not obtain a settlement or jury verdict in your favor, you will not pay us anything.  There are no out-of-pocket fees or expenses on your part.  Our firm charges that same as most other personal injury attorneys, the fee is one-third of whatever we obtain for you and and 40 percent if we have to go to court.

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE FOR FAMILY LAW CASES?

We will work with you depending on your financial circumstances to come to an agreement as to an initial retainer and an hourly rate.  We will never do more work on a case just to increase our fees.  Our goal is always to resolve your family matters with as little court involvement and expense as possible.

ARE OUR CONVERSATIONS CONFIDENTIAL?

Yes. Anything we discuss is a matter of confidentiality. We will not share your information with anyone unless you authorize us to do so or we are legally required.  You can trust us to keep your matters private.

IS THERE A TIME LIMIT TO FILE A CLAIM?

Depending on the case, there can be a certain time limits to file for damages. These are known as statute of limitations. If there is still time to file a claim, we will help you get started. If not, we can help you find other options.  To find out, give us a call or send us an email to discuss your case.

I AM UNHAPPY WITH MY LAWYER. MY ATTORNEY DOES NOT RETURN MY PHONE CALLS. WHAT CAN I DO?
